Nervous growth factor

A three-color watercolour depicting the nerve growth factor, one of the greatest discoveries made by the Italian neurologist Rita Levi-Montalcini (1909-2012), who was prosecuted by Mussolini´s fascist regime. Tireless and resolute scientist, she was awarded with the Physiology Nobel Prize in 1986. Art inspired on Wolfgang Paalen works, multidisciplinary Austrian artist belonging to Surrealism, who was exiled to Mexico due to World War II.
